Summary of
Responsibilities:
Perform the job functions and possess the skills and knowledge to work in five to eight of the following areas:

Bolt Packing Small Parts Assembly Gang Building Setup

Box Packing Hose Assembly Gang Bar Assembly Gang Shaft Cell

Summary of Duties:

All Areas:

  • Maintain a neat, clean and organized work area.
  • Work according to all company safety rules and regulations.
  • Participate and contribute in a team environment in an effort to reduce costs and help promote other company objectives.
  • Must have a good attitude and be willing to accept new assignments, such as working in either plant or other departments as needed.
  • Must have good attendance and be willing to work the hours needed to get the product out.
  • Must be quality conscious and check parts and/or completed product for imperfections.
  • Must have a good sense of balance and be able to work from heights of up to 14 ft.
  • Properly use and care for all tools.

Bolt and Box Packing:

  • Count parts accurately and report completions using the computer system.
  • Must be able to weigh packages within the weight tolerances required.

Small Parts Assembly/Gang Building/Gang Bar Assembly:

  • Must be able to interpret shop drawings and assemble parts according to assembly procedures.
  • Must also be able to operate pneumatic tools.

Hose Assembly:

  • Count parts accurately and report completions using the computer system.
  • Requires previous education or training on hydraulic systems.
  • Must be able to use a micrometer to verify correct crimping measurements.
  • Must be able to weigh packages within the weight tolerances required.

Setup:

  • Must be able to read and understand assembly instructions.
  • Must be able to operate pneumatic tools.

Gang Shaft Cell:

  • Must be able to use a tape measure, change drill bits, and saw blades.
  • Must be able to understand a GO/NOGO Gauge.
  • Pass weld test for gang bolts.
  • Must be able to change, sharpen, and set chasers.
  • Must know when machines are out of alignment.


Qualifications:

Education/Certifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Must be able to write legibly and demonstrate good communication skills.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must have basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Must have a basic understanding of single part engineering drawings.
  • Must have ability to operate a forklift.
  • Must be able to operate an overhead hoist (except for Hose Assembly area).

Physical Demands:

The physical demands must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is constantly required to stand and walk.
The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel or crouch.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

  • Bolt Packing area - minimum lifting requirement of 50 lbs.
  • Hose Assembly area - minimum lifting requirement of 50 lbs.
  • All other areas of Assembly - minimum lifting requirement of 70 lbs.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, dirt, weld smoke, constant factory noise, sharp objects, the driven path of forklifts and handcarts.
Employee must lift a large number of parts each day using proper lifting techniques.
The employee must wear appropriate safety gear while working.
Employee must constantly be aware of moving forklifts.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
